Tahereh Zarrat Ehsan is a PhD candidate at the Data-driven NeuroTechnology Lab, where she is developing methods for the automatic assessment of Parkinson’s disease through video analysis. Under the supervision of Michael Tangermann, Yagmur Gucluturk, Luc Evers, and Bas Bloem, her research focuses on creating digital biomarkers to evaluate the severity and progression of motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease. Before pursuing her PhD, Tahereh earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, with specializations in machine learning and computer vision. Her master’s thesis involved the development of an AI model that recognizes abnormal human behaviour from video sequences using video processing and machine learning techniques.
